Yesterday afternoon my wife and I took a fall drive through the country. The way that the fiery color of the leaves blend with the rustic color of harvested corn sticks out every year when we make one of these drives.

September and October mean the same thing every year. It’s time to appreciate these pretty fall landscapes. They stand out for their beauty. They create a one-of-a-kind experience unique to a certain time of year.

Creating A Sense Of Beauty

Sure, design is a huge part of that. If you concentrate solely on design and offer no substance, then you are drawing people close, with the possibility of disappointment looming.

When it comes to creating a memorable experience for people, substance is everything. That means full concentration on content.

Content Writing Tips That Will Strengthen Your Web Presence

  • Write a promising headline – In a crowded RSS or Twitter feed it’s your headline that will help you to stand apart from the others. Try telling readers exactly what they can gain from reading. What knowledge or skill will they pick up from reading your blog? Remember that the goal of marketing writing is not just to entertain. It’s got another important function: conversions.
  • Use keywords in your copy – Yes, keywords tell search engines that your copy is important. But keywords can also indicate to your audience what you find important. They are a clue to your readers what the blog or website copy might be about. Use them right, and your readers may appreciate your keyword efforts too. Use them in every sentence and you may end up pissing off both your readers and the search engines. Two or three times in 400-600 words of copy is more than enough. Use in headings conveys importance.
  • Spelling and grammar count – A glaring error in body copy or a headline can have a financial impact when it appears in marketing copy. Make sure that you are editing your own work before you hit the publish button. Word processing software and many publishing platforms (such as WordPress) go through great effort to make sure that your content is spelled correctly with those squiggly red lines. Take advantage. Learn some basic grammar, and make sure that you don’t offend the sensibility of your readers.
  • Stay relevant – Don’t just recycle content found on other sites. Offer them your take on something they can truly use. Tell them why this information is important.
  • Developing a strong message – Your message needs to resonate with your readers. It needs to be something they will care about, and your body copy needs to support that. Consider deleting copy that may otherwise be good, but doesn’t support your main point.
  • Tell stories – While conversions are the name of the game, you still have to get your readers from point A to point B in your website content. Don’t be afraid to tell stories, and entertain. The stories you tell separate you from your competition. They prevent your content from solely being a dry recitation of fact only.
  • Strong call to action – What do you want your readers to do after they read your material? You might need to nudge them. Maybe it’s ending your blog post with a question to try and get people involved. Maybe it’s including your contact information in the last sentence of your website copy. Sometimes readers need to know what you want them to do with the information you recently provided.

These tips help to ensure a beautiful takeaway that your readers can truly appreciate.
